Application & Enrollment
Thank you for your interest in Fairbanks Montessori for your child’s early education. We look forward to talking with you more regarding our program.
According to the Montessori Method, our classrooms are mixed age, with 3,4,5, and 6 year olds in each classroom.
Students must be toilet trained to attend. Please reach out to fms@fairbanksmontessori.org for toilet training resources.
Adding your student to the waiting pool is the first step in the application process - click here to complete the Waiting Pool Form.
The Waiting Pool is not a first come - first served list. The waiting pool is managed considering classroom availability & the needs of current students and the school community.
There is no waiting pool fee.
Touring the school is the next step in the application process. Tours are available via Zoom or in person after you have submitted the waiting pool form.
If you submit a waiting pool form and do not hear from us within 10 business days, please reach out to fms@fairbansmontessori.org.

We recommend adding your student to the waiting pool as soon as possible, for the school year in which your student will be 3 years old in August.
Our 10 month program is August - May; our 12 month program is August - July. (See 2026-2027 Calendar here.)
When a student in the waiting pool is offered enrollment, details regarding the tuition deposit payment, enrollment fee, and new student paperwork (follows State of Alaska requirements) will be provided. (See tuition schedule here.)
If we do not anticipate that we can admit your student for the requested school year, we will notify you as soon as possible.

Reapplying
Families who applied in a previous year but were notified that their student was not admitted for that year, are welcome to submit a new application for the next school year or request that their application be moved to a following school year.
