“The children of today will make all the discoveries of tomorrow. All the discoveries of mankind will be known to them and they will improve what has been done and make fresh discoveries. They must make all the improvements in houses, cities, communication, methods of production, etc. that are to be made. The future generation must not only know how to do what we can teach them, they must be able to go a step further.”

Exceptional early Education, Since 1965

Celebrating 60 Years

Fairbanks Montessori’s mission is to provide exceptional early education according to Montessori principles and pedagogy, allowing each child to maximize their growth and naturally develop their independence in a nurturing environment.

Welcome to Fairbanks Montessori, a non-profit Montessori primary school. We offer a fully implemented Montessori primary curriculum taught by certified Montessori Lead Teachers. We have a rich history of serving the Interior, and many of our alumni live and work here, serving the community as physicians, pilots, attorneys, teachers, and building strong Alaskan families as parents. Since 2008, we have been licensed* by the State of Alaska to educate and care for 3-6 year olds.

Our doors opened in 1965, and we’re grateful to our families and our community for their continued support.
