Parental Involvement
At FMS we strive to have our parents involved the child learning process. As a result, we have implemented a parental involvement program in which we ask parents to commit 12 hours per school year in any capacity in which help is needed. Some of our needs include working in the classroom, but many of our volunteer hours can be fulfilled by taking items home and working on them at the parents’ convenience. Other needs include helping with our special events such as our annual Halloween Carnival and Luau, plowing our parking lot in the winter, tending our flower garden in the summer, etc. Serving on the Board is also a great way to be involved in the education process at FMS and counts toward parental involvement hours.
